Title:  Optimizing acid-red 14 removal using Electro-Fenton system modified by GO@CaTiO3@WO3 Nano-composite, based on response surface methodology
Abstract:

The present research employed the four graphite and steel electrodes in pairwise series arrangement with an Electro-Fenton system modified by the new Nano-composite of GO@CaTiO3@WO3 to treat Acid-red 14. To achieve this, response surface methodology was used to optimize parameters. In particular, four key factors; pH, Nano-composite concentration, dye concentration and time were investigated. Design-expert software analyzed the results obtained and determined the best model, which can be used to plot the response surface curves. The data indicated that under the optimal condition with initial dye concentration of 312.5 mg/L, Nanocomposite concentration of 25mg/L, pH value equal to 5 and process time is 105 minutes would result in dye removal of 89.57% and COD removal efficiency of 65.36%. Additionally, by correlation between these outcomes with kinetic models it was observed that modification in Electro-Fenton system followed pseudo- first order kinetic model (R2 =0.9829).
