This talk will report some recent progress in the physics, design, and realization of micro- and nano-structured organic light-emitting devices, includingself-injected regenerative thin-film laser amplifiers with practically applicable output power and far-field laser beams; selectively amplified output from a large-area array of nano OLEDs; andphase-locked random lasing in hybrid perovskites.

Xinping Zhang finished his PhD at the Department of Physics, University of Marburg, Germany in 2002. He worked as a postdoc at the Institute of Applied Physics, University of Bonn, Germany from 2003 to 2004 and at the Optoelectronics Group, Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge, UK from 2004 to 2006. Since Dec. 2006, he has been a professor at the College of Applied Sciences, Beijing University of Technology, where he leads the Institute of Information Photonics Technology. His research interests include Ultrafast Laser Technology and Applications, Time-resolved Spectroscopy, Nanophotonics and Plasmonics, Organic Optoelectronics. He has more than 200 publications in international journals.
