| Biography: Dr. Ashwini Sood (D.O.B. 17th July 1967) is serving as Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, School of Chemical Technology, Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, India. Prior to joining this university on 17th April, 2000, he has served in various organizations in different capacities. These organizations are K. K. Tutorials, Dehradun; Sachdeva New P. T. College, Dehradun; Indian Institure of Petroleum, Dehradun; Vam Organic Chemicals Limited, Gajraula, Hindustan Office Products Limited, New Delhi and Department of Chemical Engineering, Lehigh University, U.S.A. He was awarded B. Tech.(1988), M. S.(1991) and Ph. D (2006) degrees from IIT Kanpur, Lehigh University, U.S.A. and U. P. Technical University, Lucknow, respectively His research interests include Modeling and Simulation of Emulsion Polymerization Processes, Rheology of Dispersions and Chemical Reaction Engineering. He has published 31 research papers in peer reviewed national and international journals and presented 22 papers/posters/abstracts in conferences. He is guiding two Ph. D. students and 1 M. Tech. student and has guided/co-guided 19 M. Tech. students. He has served as reviewer for 15 journals and has reviewed 24 different manuscripts. He has served as editorial board member of Journal of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering in 2018-19, 2019-2020 and Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering in 2016-17 and 2017-2018. He has won various awards which included Best Technical Paper Award published in Indian Chemical Engineer in 2019, 3rd Best Technical Paper Award published in Indian Chemical Engineer in 2016, Life Time Achievement Award in 2019 from VDGOOD Professional Association, Life Time Award in 2018 from International Organization of Scientific Research and Development, Bharat Vikas Award in 2017, The Best Citizens of India Award 2017, Bharat Jyoti Award in 2017. He was selected for the 2018 Albert Nelson Marquis Life Time Award. His biography has been selected for inclusion in Who's who in the world in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021. His biography was listed in in X, XI and XII edition of Marquis's Who's who in Science and Engineering in 2007, 2011-12 and 2015-16. | |
